What's that Smell?

Excerpt from the family journal:

"[November 1981] On the 17th David went to Las Vegas for...Comdex...While he was gone, the kids [that would be Gordon and Laura] got in my bathroom cabinet and spilled David's cologne somewhere. I never could locate the precise place the odor was coming from, but it was so powerful that just walking in the garage door [on the other side of the house] and sniffing was a heady experience, and our room gave me a headache. We spent that night at Moms."
